Introduction:
The ideal candidate must be able to work with large datasets with strong experience using a variety of data analysis & ETL approaches (familiar with some technology providers and solutions in the market), using a variety of data tools, building, and understanding Data models, developing ETL pipelines for business data to be ultimately visualized for decision support. Must have the technical capabilities which allow him / her to extract / ingest the data from various sources, transform the data, and develop dashboards reflecting the required KPIs.
The specific project requirements:
The Client requires a Senior Power BI Developer on a secondment basis to support the EPMO-Business Intelligence (BI) team. The developer will work under the supervision of the client's BI team to design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for real estate and construction projects.
Project Objectives:
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support real estate and construction project analysis
- Enhance data visualization and reporting capabilities within the EPMO-BI team
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all reporting solutions
- Optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for seamless integration
- Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and reporting solutions
- Improve efficiency and usability of dashboards for executive and operational reporting
Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for real estate and construction projects
- Collaborate with business owners to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical specifications
- Utilize strong SQL skills to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources
- Preferably, use ETL tools like Alteryx to streamline data processes
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all reporting solutions
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support business decisions.
- Plan, prioritize, and deliver projects within agreed timelines
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction
Core Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, preferably in real estate and construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL engines like Alteryx
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong visualization skills and ability to build simple, actionable, and crisp dashboards suited for executives
- Ability to work collaboratively with business owners and technical teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
Evaluation of candidates:
- Relevant Experience of the personnel reflected in the submitted CVs as per the requirements above
- Technical knowledge to be consistent and aligned with CVs with respect to Power BI and Alteryx (or similar SQL DB/ETL engine) and ability to demonstrate the ability to develop clear/concise exec. dashboards
- Clear demonstration of the expertise in managing timelines, communication, and overall management
