As a
Senior Data Scientist ,you will lead the design and execution of advanced data science projects that drive strategic business decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analytics to uncover insights and deliver impactful solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable strategies, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Teradata's data science capabilities.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead Data Science Projects: Manage the full lifecycle of data science initiativesfrom problem definition and data exploration to model development and deployment.
- Build Predictive Models: Design and implement machine learning and statistical models to solve business challenges and forecast outcomes.
- Analyze Complex Datasets: Perform deep data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational goals.
- Deploy and Monitor Models: Ensure models are scalable, reliable, and integrated into production systems with ongoing performance monitoring.
- Mentor and Guide: Support the growth of junior data scientists by sharing best practices, reviewing work, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Communicate Insights: Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, turning data into compelling narratives and strategic recommendations.
- Stay Current: Keep up with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science to enhance existing methodologies and tools.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data science or analytics
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning
- Expertise in deep learning algorithms and Generative AI (GenAI)
