Role Summary
This is a senior design management role for an experienced architect or design manager with a strong background in complex high-rise, luxury mixed-use or supertall projects. The role is intended to protect design intent while managing consultants, submissions, approvals, stakeholder expectations and project information across demanding, leadership-facing workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
•
Maintain the agreed project vision, design principles and quality expectations through consultant development and review.
•
Manage external consultants, specialist inputs, deliverables, review cycles, information requests and issue resolution across assigned projects.
•
Track design milestones, decisions, dependencies, risks and approvals so that leadership, internal teams and consultants remain aligned.
•
Review consultant submissions for planning logic, architectural quality, coordination, efficiency, brief compliance and commercial alignment.
•
Prepare concise updates, meeting notes, decision logs and review material for internal leadership and owning-entity stakeholders.
•
Understand the impact of design decisions on area schedules, feasibility, cost, constructability, operations and delivery risk.
•
Work with designers and coordinators to ensure project material is accurate, disciplined, current and suitable for review or issue.
•
Contribute to studio standards, templates, review methods and reporting structures that improve design management across the studio. Required Experience and Capability
•
10–15 years of experience in architecture, design management, development-side design roles or consultant coordination.
•
Specific experience on high-rise, luxury mixed-use, tower or supertall projects is required; Asia or international project exposure is beneficial.
•
Strong architectural judgement and the ability to assess planning efficiency, design quality, coordination gaps and consultant output quickly.
•
Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants through concept, schematic and later design stages.
•
Good working understanding of tower planning, podium / mixed-use interfaces, vertical transportation, façade coordination, back-of-house logic and consultant workflows.
•
Comfortable working with area schedules, design briefs, lead sheets, consultant programmes, submission trackers and stakeholder reporting.
•
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to be clear, diplomatic and firm where required.
