Minimum Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role within Building Services Engineering
- Proven experience in designing PHE (Public Health Engineering) and FF (Firefighting) systems
- Experience working on international or large-scale construction projects
- Prior experience in the Maldives will be an added advantage
- Proven experience in hotel, high-rise building, residential, mixed-use development, commercial, retail, and industrial projects
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge in design and development of PHE & FF systems
- Proficiency in software such as MS Project, Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Good understanding of shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings
- Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation
- Thorough knowledge of latest BS and EN standards, regulations, and industry codes
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design and development of PHE & FF systems.
- Ensuring proposals are in compliance with the company's quality procedures, clients requirements, and relevant/latest industry standards, international codes, planned timelines, allotted budget, company strategy, and goals.
- Providing technical inputs for preparation of design drawings, shop drawings, coordination of drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Overseeing the project's conception, design, and specifications and managing scheduling, estimating, and securing materials.
- Conducting research on new technologies in order to develop efficient designs for new PHE & FF systems
- Providing technical support to project staff regarding projects or issues related to PHE & FF systems
- Monitoring and carrying out quality check on progressive completed work
- Ensuing all paperwork submissions (e.g., Vendor Approval Submission, project reports, schedule submission, and works executed on sites) are according to specification, drawings and project requirements.
- Co-ordinating with clients and consultants on the technical requirements and attend technical discussions and meetings with authorities, developers, and contractors
- Co-ordinating with subcontractors, suppliers and own teams, including group representatives for implementation of the projects and ensuring it is being built correctly and timely delivery of works
- Represents the company at technical meetings with clients and stakeholders and serves as the company's technical representative to clients and suppliers
- Ensure proposals are compliance with the company's quality procedures, clients requirements, and relevant/latest standards & regulations are updated accordingly
- Work closely with the procurement team and suppliers
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
