Position: Senior Design Engineer - Structural Steel
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Education
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering – Structural Division – preferably Ain Shams / Cairo / Benha / Helwan Universities
Experience
4-6 years in Design of governmental Steel / RCC structures, preferably in reputed Structural Steel companies / or consultancy
Technical Skills
Software: SAP200,ETABS, IdeaStatiCa, AutoCAD
Design Codes : AISC 360, AISC 341, AISC DG
Loading Codes: MBMA, IBC, ASCE 7, AIST TR-13
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of industrial, Mega Hangers, warehouse, commercial, high-rise, PEB, and heavy steel structures.
- Prepare and review detailed structural design calculations, engineering reports, and technical documentation.
- Design and verify steel connections using IdeaStatiCa, ensuring compliance with applicable design codes and project requirements.
- Coordinate closely with detailing, fabrication, and project teams to ensure design intent, constructability, and smooth project execution.
The Ideal Candidate
- 4-6 years in Design of governmental Steel / RCC structures, preferably in reputed Structural Steel companies / consultancy;
- Ability to develop and implement effective value-engineering solutions for pre-designed projects, achieving optimized structural performance and cost efficiency;
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions and clearly communicate technical requirements;
- Strong understanding of fabrication and erection requirements, with the ability to develop simple, practical, and cost-effective design solutions that are easy to fabricate and construct.
