About Your Team

You will report to the Head of Design and work closely with consultants, subcontractors, project teams, and clients to manage design development, technical coordination, and project delivery. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in ensuring design quality, compliance, and alignment with project objectives from inception through completion.

Your Role

As a Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and managing design activities across multiple high-end fit-out projects
• Overseeing design submissions, shop drawings, and technical coordination to ensure quality and compliance
• Managing RFIs, design queries, and stakeholder communication to support project delivery
• Coordinating consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to achieve seamless design integration
• Providing technical solutions to site and construction-related design challenges
• Monitoring design progress, mitigating risks, and supporting project milestones
• Contributing to commercial matters including variations, procurement, and value engineering
• Leading, mentoring, and developing design teams while promoting best practices and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience within a fit-out contracting environment, including leadership of large-scale high-end luxury fit-out projects
• Degree qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related discipline
• Proven experience managing design teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of fit-out design, construction methodologies, and FF&E materials
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent design coordination and stakeholder management capabilities
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
• Comprehensive understanding of authority approvals, design processes, and technical compliance requirement
