We are currently seeking a Senior Design Manager Infrastructure to support the delivery of a landmark mega masterplanned development in Abu Dhabi comprising luxury townhouse villas, hospitality assets, and residential communities.
Role Overview
The Senior Design Manager will lead and manage all infrastructure design activities for large-scale horizontal developments, ensuring coordination across multidisciplinary teams and alignment with client objectives, statutory requirements, programme, and budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 15+ years experience in infrastructure and horizontal development projects
- Strong experience in large-scale masterplanned or mixed-use developments in Abu Dhabi
- Proven track record managing multidisciplinary design teams
- In-depth knowledge of local authority requirements and approval processes
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design management of infrastructure works including roads, utilities, drainage, grading, and external works
- Coordinate civil, structural, MEP, landscape, and specialist infrastructure consultants
- Oversee design programme, deliverables, and authority submission processes
- Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations and relevant authorities
- Manage design risk, value engineering, and technical optimisation
- Interface with client, stakeholders, and delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from design to construction
- Support procurement and technical evaluation of contractors
