Venture Search has partnered with a leading Oil Trading firm based in Dubai, and they are looking to hire a talented DevOps / Azure Developer. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in developing, deploying, and optimizing cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with a strong background in DevOps methodologies, cloud architecture, and automation, capable of building scalable, secure, and data-driven solutions in a cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure services.
- Develop and manage Azure Data Lake environments for large-scale data ingestion, processing, and analytics.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Deploy and manage cloud applications leveraging Azure App Services, Functions, AKS, and Logic Apps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Collaborate closely with software development and operations teams to streamline release cycles and improve system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture.
- Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools within Azure; familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack is advantageous.
- Experience working with Azure Service Fabric, Azure Data Lake (Gen2), and Azure Storage.
- Practical understanding of Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
- Awareness of modern DevOps practices including GitOps, DevSecOps, Zero Trust Architecture, and policy-as-code.
- Exposure to data ingestion and orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines.
- Understanding of data lakehouse architectures, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark on Azure.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Energy Trading (Oil & Gas) and associated trading technologies is a strong plus.
