Job Summary
You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and continuously improving enterprise DevSecOps platforms, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud-native application delivery capabilities. The role supports development teams by enabling secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery across multiple application portfolios and environments. The engineer works closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Developers, Test Engineers, Security Teams, and Operations Teams to standardize software delivery practices and improve deployment efficiency, governance, and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps Platform Engineering:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application delivery.
- Implement deployment automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Support enterprise DevOps tooling and platform services.
- Maintain reusable deployment templates and shared DevOps components.
Release & Deployment Management:
- Support application releases across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Automate deployment processes and rollback mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and coordinate production implementations.
- Support change and release management activities.
Cloud & Container Operations:
- Build and maintain containerized application deployment pipelines.
- Support Kubernetes/OpenShift-based application platforms.
- Manage application configuration, secrets, and deployment artifacts.
- Implement environment provisioning and platform automation.
DevSecOps & Security Integration:
- Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support code quality, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks.
- Promote shift-left security practices and automation.
- Assist teams in remediation of security findings.
Automation & Continuous Improvement:
- Develop scripts and automation tools to reduce manual operational effort.
- Standardize delivery workflows across projects.
- Improve deployment reliability, consistency, and auditability.
- Drive adoption of DevOps best practices and engineering standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with Development, Testing, Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.
- Provide technical guidance on DevOps implementation approaches.
- Support incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and operational readiness activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and release management using GitLab CI/CD.
- Strong knowledge of source code management, with experience administering Jira and Confluence.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience working with AWS services, including EC2, S3, and Security Groups.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Shell Scripting, Ansible, and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Good understanding of DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability management and secure software delivery.
- Experience with code quality and artifact management tools such as SonarQube, Nexus Repository, and Nexus IQ.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production incident support experience.
- Experience supporting production deployments, operational readiness, and release activities in enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to design, standardize, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
- Experience in infrastructure automation, configuration management, and cloud-native/containerized application deployments.
- Familiarity with regulated enterprise environments, including governance, compliance, and operational best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to improve deployment success rates, reduce manual operational effort through automation, and deliver reliable, repeatable release processes.
