Senior Digital Solutions Presales Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with account executives and sales leaders to qualify opportunities, identify customer objectives, and assess strategic fit.
• Lead technical discovery workshops to understand current-state architecture, pain points, constraints, processes, data flows, integration landscape, security requirements, and target outcomes.
• Apply structured qualification approaches to assess business value, solution scope, budget alignment, decision process, competition, risks, and probability of success.
• Identify expansion opportunities across adjacent digital solution areas, including integration, automation, AI, cloud, data, cybersecurity, observability, and managed services.
• Convert customer requirements into solution assumptions, scope boundaries, dependencies, risks, and measurable success criteria.
• Design end-to-end enterprise solution architectures that align with customer strategy, technical standards, operational requirements, and commercial constraints.
• Develop architecture options and clearly communicate trade-offs across cost, scalability, resilience, security, delivery timeline, licensing, integration complexity, and operational effort.
• Define logical, conceptual, and high-level technical architecture for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Design solutions involving APIs, integration middleware, event-driven architecture, business process automation, workflow, low-code platforms, identity and access management, security operations, data platforms, and AI/ML capabilities as applicable.
• Ensure proposed designs address non-functional requirements including availability, performance, scalability, recoverability, observability, auditability, data protection, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Validate technical feasibility with vendors, technical specialists, delivery architects, and third-party partners.
• Act as the trusted technical advisor during customer meetings, workshops, demonstrations, presentations, and technical evaluations.
• Translate complex technology concepts into clear business outcomes for executive stakeholders and into actionable technical detail for architects and engineering teams.
• Deliver compelling solution presentations, architecture walkthroughs, product demonstrations, and proof-of-value sessions.
• Build customer-specific value narratives that connect proposed capabilities to operational efficiency, revenue protection, customer experience, risk reduction, resilience, and modernization goals.
• Facilitate whiteboarding and design-thinking sessions with customer teams and internal stakeholders.
• Represent the SI professionally at executive briefings, vendor events, customer workshops, and industry forums.
• Lead or contribute to high-quality technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, tenders, statements of work, and solution proposals.
• Produce solution architecture documents, bills of materials, scope statements, assumptions, exclusions, implementation approaches, delivery plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with delivery, PMO, finance, procurement, legal, and vendors to validate effort estimates, commercials, licensing, margins, contractual commitments, and delivery risk.
• Ensure proposals are technically accurate, complete, differentiated, compliant with bid requirements, and aligned with customer evaluation criteria.
• Support bid governance, internal reviews, technical risk assessment, solution assurance, and executive approvals.
• Participate in post-bid presentations, technical clarification sessions, negotiation support, and customer technical defenses.
• Define proof-of-concept or proof-of-value objectives, scope, timelines, success measures, required environments, integrations, and resource needs.
• Build, configure, or coordinate demonstrations and prototypes that validate priority use cases and differentiate the proposed solution.
• Lead technical evaluation activities, document outcomes, and transition validated designs into delivery-ready scope.
• Maintain reusable demo assets, reference architectures, proposal templates, accelerators, and industry use cases.
• Work closely with sales, solution architects, delivery teams, project managers, managed services, vendor alliance teams, and subject-matter experts.
• Provide clear presales-to-delivery handover documentation, including scope, architecture, assumptions, risks, dependencies, commercials, and customer commitments.
• Mentor junior presales engineers and contribute to technical capability development across the SI organization.
• Contribute to go-to-market offerings, packaged services, reusable solution patterns, thought leadership, and competitive intelligence.
• Maintain current knowledge of assigned vendor portfolios, market trends, enterprise architecture practices, and relevant industry regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Relevant postgraduate study, architecture certification, vendor certification, or business qualification is an advantage.
• From 6-8 years of experience in enterprise IT, including at least 3–4 years in presales, solution architecture, consulting, or customer-facing technical roles.
• Demonstrated experience designing and positioning enterprise solutions for medium-to-large organizations.
• Proven involvement in complex sales cycles, RFPs, technical bids, solution demonstrations, and customer workshops.
• Experience working for a system integrator, value-added reseller, consulting organization, managed service provider, or enterprise technology vendor is strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating multi-vendor solutions and working with implementation and delivery teams.
