We are seeking an experienced Senior Director – Autonomous Mobility to lead the establishment, commercialization, and scaling of a new autonomous mobility business in the region. This is a high-impact business leadership role with end-to-end accountability for strategy, P&L, commercialization, regulatory engagement, strategic partnerships, operations, and organizational development.
Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Technology, Mobility, or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in mobility, logistics, CEP, autonomous vehicles, smart mobility, or adjacent technology-enabled sectors.
- Significant experience in the UAE or GCC is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of launching, scaling, and commercializing new businesses, products, or technology-enabled services.
- Demonstrated P&L ownership and strong commercial track record.
- Experience working in startup, venture-building, transformation, or high-growth environments.
- Strong experience engaging with government and regulatory stakeholders.
- Experience with public-private partnerships or government-led innovation programs is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the mobility and CEP sectors, including smart cities, urban logistics, last-mile delivery economics, and operating models.
- Practical understanding of autonomous vehicle technologies, deployment models, safety requirements, and operational considerations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the business strategy for autonomous mobility, aligned with the organization's growth and innovation agenda.
- Develop scalable commercial models for autonomous mobility solutions across public roads, campuses, private developments, and other relevant environments.
- Own the business P&L, including revenue growth, cost management, investment planning, and overall financial performance.
- Lead go-to-market strategy, pricing, customer acquisition, commercial pipeline development, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop and execute autonomous vehicle deployment programs from business case and pilot through to commercial scale.
- Lead engagement with UAE regulatory and government authorities to secure approvals and enable compliant operations.
- Establish strong governance across safety, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, data privacy, operational performance, and risk management.
- Build strategic partnerships with CEP operators, e-commerce platforms, retailers, government entities, real estate developers, technology providers, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to expand into adjacent autonomous technologies, including robotics, autonomous ground vehicles, drones, and other emerging solutions.
- Translate technology capabilities into commercially viable and scalable customer solutions.
- Build and lead a high-performing team while fostering an entrepreneurial, execution-focused culture.
- Represent the business with senior government, industry, technology, and commercial stakeholders.
- Provide strategic, financial, and operational updates to the GCEO and executive leadership.
