Job Purpose
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Draftsman to join our team. The role involves preparing accurate and comprehensive technical drawings for civil, construction, residential, and landscaping projects. The Senior Draftsman will work closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to support design implementation and ensure drawings meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software for a variety of construction and landscaping projects.
- Translate design concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate construction drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure design accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Conduct site visits to collect measurements, verify dimensions, and update drawings as required.
- Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and material take-offs.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain updated drawing records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the technical team with drafting-related tasks and revisions as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, architectural, and landscaping scopes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or certification in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of proven drafting experience in civil, construction, residential, or landscaping projects.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or other design software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction detailing, building systems, and site coordination.
- Familiarity with project documentation tools like ProjectWise or similar is desirable.
