Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Draftsman with mandatory warehouse construction project experience to prepare accurate shop drawings, coordination drawings, structural steel drawings, reinforcement detailing, and as-built documentation.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience preparing construction and shop drawings for warehouse projects in the UAE, working closely with engineers, consultants, architects, and site teams to meet project specifications, consultant requirements, and UAE authority standards.
Mandatory Requirement
Candidates must demonstrate previous experience preparing construction/shop drawings for warehouse projects in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, and coordination drawings for warehouse construction projects.
Develop structural steel fabrication and erection drawings for warehouse structures.
Prepare reinforcement detailing and rebar drawings for foundations and reinforced concrete elements as per approved structural designs.
Produce MEP coordination drawings to support multidisciplinary project execution.
Coordinate with Project Engineers, Design Consultants, Architects, and Site Engineers to resolve drawing discrepancies.
Revise drawings based on consultant comments, design changes, RFIs, and site requirements.
Prepare accurate as-built drawings for project handover.
Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, document control, and drawing archives.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, consultant requirements, UAE authority regulations, and company drafting standards.
Support project teams throughout construction until final handover.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of UAE construction experience in drafting.
Proven experience preparing shop drawings for large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, and MEP coordination drawings.
Expert proficiency in AutoCAD.
Working knowledge of Revit is preferred.
Familiarity with UAE construction standards and consultant approval processes.
Excellent attention to detail, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
