Senior Dredge Master

Overall in charge of dredging operations on a Self-Propelled Cutter Suction Dredger.

Operate and control cutter head, dredge pumps, ladder, spuds, and swing winches.

Optimize dredging parameters to achieve maximum production and efficiency.

Execute dredging works as per drawings, methodology, and project specifications.

Maintain accurate dredger positioning using DGPS and dredging software.

Command safe navigation, shifting, and maneuvering of the dredger.

Ensure compliance with port regulations, and VTS requirements.

Lead, supervise, and mentor Dredge Masters, officers, and deck crew.

Implement and enforce HSE, ISM, and environmental policies onboard.

Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and permit-to-work activities.

Monitor daily production, cutter wear, fuel consumption, and downtime.

Coordinate with Chief Engineer for maintenance and breakdown repairs.

Ensure proper operation and care of dredging equipment and auxiliaries.

Liaise with Project Manager, Surveyors, and Client representatives.

Ensure dredging within design lines, depths, and environmental limits.

Prepare and submit daily dredging and production reports.

Support mobilization, demobilization, and commissioning activities.

Identify operational risks and take corrective actions promptly.

Promote safe work culture and high operational discipline onboard.

Ensure efficient, safe, and economical completion of dredging works.
