DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- In charge of the planning and execution of the fleet dry dockings.
- Coordinate with the technical team and business units to draft detailed dry dock specifications.
- Evaluate quotations and manage contracts with the yards.
- Coordinate with the procurement department to source the parts and equipment needed to execute the docking.
- Provide hands-on support during the dry dock execution.
- Monitor and manage the dry dock budgets.
- Manage and review variation orders for unexpected work orders during the dry docking.
- Provide daily technical and budgetary reports.
- Ensure all repairs are updated in the PMS.
- Actively promotes Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) awareness and monitors performance to ensure safety standards and safe working practices.
- Conduct post dry dock assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Marine Engineering Class III/2 Certificate or
- Degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture.
- Minimum 5 years of shore-based experience in dry docking or technical superintendent roles.
- Sea experience as Chief Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of class society standards.
- Familiar with planned maintenance systems.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication, leadership, and report-writing abilities.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
