Role Description The Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Egypt will lead electrical engineering design activities for building and infrastructure projects in Giza. This full-time, on-site role involves developing detailed electrical designs, preparing drawings and specifications, and coordinating power distribution layouts in line with project requirements, codes, and standards. The role includes reviewing and validating calculations, performing load estimates, and ensuring integration of electrical systems with other disciplines such as architecture, mechanical, and structural engineering. The engineer will collaborate with project managers, consultants, and site teams, provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers, and support construction supervision by resolving design-related issues. Responsibilities also include participating in client meetings, preparing technical reports, and contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement of design processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for building and infrastructure projects.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Electricity principles, including relevant codes and standards.
• Candidates should possess experience in Power Distribution systems, including load calculations, panel schedules, and coordination studies.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Significant experience in consultancy or design offices, preferably within the Middle East region.
• Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, electrical calculation tools).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC) is highly beneficial.
• Professional registration or membership in an engineering body is an advantage.

Experience: 7 to 10 years of design experience in building services (power distribution, lighting, ELV, containment, and load calculations).
