Job Description

The Candidate will ensure contractor compliance with contract documents, coordinate daily with engineering teams to record and verify work progress, review Inspection Requests (IRs), and carry out necessary site inspections. Responsibilities cover total site supervision and inspection of all civil-works-related electrical installations across the transportation project.

Responsibilities

  • Prior supervisory experience within top-tier Engineering Consultancy or Tier-1 Construction firms.
  • Direct site expertise across HV/LV distribution, architectural lighting, lighting control, emergency systems, power distribution, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
  • Monitor site progress against baseline schedules and report status directly to the MEP Construction Manager.
  • Review contract packages, detailed design drawings, specifications, method statements, and site safety plans.
  • Verify contractor compliance with contract specs through observation, field measurements, and quality testing while tracking quality assurance logs.
  • Maintain daily site logs tracking contractor manpower, plant, and equipment resources.
  • Perform all formal site inspections and witness tests for electrical works.
  • Follow up on and enforce implementation of site instructions issued by project leadership.
  • Execute all site quality control procedures in line with the Project Quality Plan.
  • Conduct joint site measurement and surveying checks necessary for interim payment verification.
  • Actively monitor site health and safety practices, taking immediate action to address and log non-compliances.

Specific Skills Required

  • Deep understanding of basic engineering design requirements, electrical installation methodologies, and local/international Building Codes.
  • Previous site experience on major rail/transit projects is highly preferred.
  • International project experience is an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with proven ability to draft clear, concise technical reports.
  • In-depth understanding of modern installation and construction techniques.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years overall experience in engineering construction supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
