Lead the Electrical Engineering activities in accordance with Project requirements within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with all Project interfaces and supervise in/out information flow regarding electrical discipline.
Review and approve sub-contractor electrical engineering deliverables. Ensure that the electrical design meets the approved project specifications.
Review of supplier and package documentation for integration within Project design, such as GA/Details/Calculations/Fabrication Procedures. Technical evaluation/clarification of supplier bids.
Coordination & Interface Management. Construction & Site Support. Resolve site electrical issues and interface clashes. Testing & Commissioning Support.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience working in engineering firms.
Experience in a similar role in engineering management.
Should have worked in an overseas location - preferably Middle East.
Minimum 8-10 years experience in a similar field, five of which in a Senior role.
Required Skills:
Good knowledge of electrical power systems (LV/MV/HV), including: AC/DC theory; Power generation, transmission, and distribution; Short-circuit theory and fault analysis; Motor starting and protection principles; Understanding of power quality (harmonics, voltage dips, flicker), etc.
Good knowledge of discipline related codes and standards (IEC / IEEE / API/ ASME/ etc).
Ability to review and challenge/comment sub-contractor designs.
Familiarity with electrical design tools (ETAP, DAILux evo, or equivalent, etc.).
Ability to lead technical discussions with sub-contractors and clients.
