Senior Electrical Engineer - Construction Site

Job Description:

• Review the design criteria with the design team for the new projects regarding the electrical works (infrastructure, Plumbing, firefighting & HVAC).
• Review and evaluate the contractors technical offer for final approval regarding the electrical works.
• Manage the electrical work as an owner representative (progress, quality & time).
• Quality controlling by monitoring the project works and the consultant performance.
• Time controlling by reviewing the time schedule, project progress and raising the corrective decisions in case of delays with the project management.
• Assess the electrical staff (Consultant & Contractors) to achieve the best performance.
• Review the letters and MOM's regarding any electrical issues.
• Anticipate reviewing the projects RFP package before procurement cycle.
• Follow up the shop drawing, coordination drawings, red line drawing until as built drawings approval.
• Follow up with the consultant to issue the NCRs when required.
• Review the MEP contractor's claims & Variations.
• Review the MEP consultant performance, submittals approvals & disapprovals.
• Coordinate with consultant and contractor to complete the project as per target program.
• Technical support during construction stage.
• Ensure safety & quality as per the company standards.
• Handover the electrical systems to facility management.
• Follow up on the electrical snags rectification during the DLP (Defect liability period) and contract closeout.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in relevant position and different Electrical trades.
• Construction experience is a must.
• Excellent user of Microsoft office (Excel and Word).
• Excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
