Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Purpose:

Responsible for designing, planning, implementing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and infrastructure related to HVAC systems, Data Centers, UPS systems, and Generators. Ensures the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and energy-efficient solutions while complying with industry standards, client requirements, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Main job duties and responsibilities:

1. Design and review electrical systems, power distribution networks, and control systems for Data Centers, HVAC systems, UPS systems, and Generator installations.
2. Prepare electrical drawings, load calculations, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and technical specifications.
3. Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to determine project requirements and feasibility.
4. Develop engineering solutions that comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and client specifications.
5. Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, civil, and telecommunications disciplines.
6. Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems and equipment.
7. Review contractor and supplier technical submittals and shop drawings.
8. Provide technical support during project execution and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
9. Design, implement, and maintain critical power infrastructure for Data Centers.
10. Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of UPS systems, battery banks, generators, ATS panels, and power distribution units (PDUs).
11. Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for critical electrical infrastructure.
12. Design and oversee electrical connections and control systems for HVAC equipment, including chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, air handling units, and ventilation systems.
13. Coordinate with HVAC engineers to ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
14. Troubleshoot electrical faults affecting HVAC performance and system reliability.
15. Ensure compliance with local regulations, electrical standards, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
16. Prepare technical reports, test results, commissioning documents, and project records.
17. Identify project risks and recommend mitigation measures to ensure operational continuity.
18. Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job's specialty.

Job requirements:

Educational background and previous experience:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. From 3 – 5 years electrical engineering, preferably within telecommunications, Data Centers, critical facilities, MEP, or infrastructure projects.
