Job Summary:
The Senior QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction and installation activities for substation projects comply with approved specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining quality assurance/control processes, conducting inspections, and supporting project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes in line with international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures across substation projects
- Conduct inspections for electrical installation works (GIS/AIS, transformers, switchgear, cabling, etc.)
- Review and approve ITPs, method statements, and quality documentation
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards (IEC, IEEE)
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality-related matters
- Raise NCRs, follow up on corrective/preventive actions, and ensure proper closure
- Support testing, commissioning, and final handover processes
- Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation
- Participate in internal and external audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5–7 years of experience in QA/QC within substation / power projects
- Strong experience in HV/MV substations (GIS/AIS)
- Solid knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE)
- Experience in inspections, testing, and commissioning support
- Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
