Gold and Minerals (GMCO) Established in 2009 GMCO have fostered a discovery led approach to mine development since its formation the company has made two major discoveries at Jabal Qutman (Gold) and in the Wadi Bidah (Copper-Gold VMS) which are now moving through Feasibility assessment, as well as several smaller discoveries across its licence portfolio. GMCO operates across one of the largest Exploration land packages in Saudi Arabia with access to over 2200km of ground across 29 Exploration licences a further 275km (Four licences) are shortly to be issued following the conclusion of the latest MIM Round 9 bidding process.
Job Summary
The Senior Electrician is a skilled trades professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems across our facilities. You will lead electrical projects, ensure compliance with safety and building codes, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations staff to deliver reliable, high-quality electrical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, wiring, panels, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings.
- Lead and supervise electrical crews, coordinating tasks, timelines, and safety compliance.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- installed or upgraded electrical systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and tools, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and Field support teams to develop and implement project plans.
- Mentor and train junior electricians, apprentices, and other team members.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company safety programs.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Proficiency with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC) and safety regulations.
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience leading teams and coordinating field operations.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with energy management, load balancing, and electrical distribution systems.
- Project management experience or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, OSHA 30).
