As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of safety-critical embedded software throughout the complete automotive software lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and document embedded software for automotive applications.
- Develop software for:
- Ultrasonic sensor applications
- Pressure measurement systems
- RGB LED light control
- Basic Software (BSW) modules including Bootloader, Flash Driver, Communication Stack, and Memory Drivers
- Deliver software across all V-model phases (SWE.1–SWE.6):
- Requirements engineering
- Software architecture
- Detailed design
- Unit testing
- Integration testing
- Verification and validation
- Support the development of functionally safe automotive software in compliance with ISO 26262.
- Collaborate closely with customers, hardware engineers, software developers, architects, and test managers.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and system integration activities.
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards including ASPICE and cybersecurity requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in embedded software and/or embedded systems development, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C.
- Experience with bare-metal embedded development.
- Hands-on experience working with hardware and debugging tools such as oscilloscopes.
- Experience developing software for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
- Good understanding of automotive communication protocols, particularly:
- CAN
- Automotive Ethernet
- Experience developing software on both Windows and Linux environments.
- Solid understanding of:
- Requirements engineering
- Software architecture
- Embedded programming
- Software testing
- Knowledge of:
- Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
- ISO 26262 (Functional Safety)
- ISO 21434 (Automotive Cybersecurity)
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with automotive sensor technologies, including:
- Ultrasonic sensing
- Pressure measurement
- Digital filtering concepts
- Characteristic curve correction
- Experience developing embedded Basic Software components such as:
- Bootloader
- Communication Drivers
- Flash Drivers
- Memory Handling Drivers
- Experience with higher Ethernet communication stacks, including:
- TCP/IP
- lwIP
- Experience working across ASPICE SWE.1–SWE.5 processes.
- Knowledge of automotive communication stacks and middleware.
