About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of embedded software and firmware for high-performance security products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure embedded solutions while providing technical leadership throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Software Architecture & Development
- Design and develop embedded software and firmware for Linux-based platforms.
- Define software architecture, system interfaces, and integration strategies.
- Customize embedded Linux operating systems to support product requirements.
- Develop, integrate, test, and optimize embedded software components.
Technical Leadership
- Lead and mentor software engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Review software designs, source code, and technical documentation.
- Promote best practices in software architecture, secure coding, and performance optimization.
System Integration & Delivery
- Integrate software with hardware platforms and perform system-level testing.
- Support firmware releases, manufacturing, product qualification, and deployment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
Documentation & Quality
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture designs, and engineering reports.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and development processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software or firmware development.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, Rust, Python, and Bash scripting.
- Experience with Embedded Linux platforms and OS customization.
- Strong understanding of hardware-software integration and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, routing, switching, and network programming.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, GitLab, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with Linux kernel drivers, C# application development, secure coding, or HSM products will be an advantage.
