What you will do

Electro-mobility is one of the main technology development area within Volvo Group, which is at the forefront of sustainable transport solutions for tomorrow. At Group Trucks Technology Electro-mobility Bangalore, we are currently looking for a Lead Verification Engineer to join our team.

We build virtual models that help in creating world-class solutions for electro-mobility systems and delivering customer values for Volvo business units such as trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine applications.

We believe in front loading development activities during early phase for optimized performance and Cost through analysis, insights and recommendations. We understand the customer usage and performance of our products, for providing solutions throughout entire product life cycle, from idea investigation and concept evaluation to industrialization and maintenance.

We build high fidelity models for System performance prediction/optimization, right sizing and digital twin. We work with cross-functional teams from different parts of the entity, from sales, data, regulation and development teams.

Who are you

We are looking for a skilled lab development and maintenance for Electric Vehicle software testing. The role involves maintaining HIL rigs, lab equipment upgrades, and ensuring system reliability. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with dSPACE HIL systemstest benches, CAN communication tools, and automotive testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and upgrade of system and component Test and other lab equipment.
  • Ensure uptime and reliability by updating Hardware, plant models, software versions to achieve right configurations.
  • Perform necessary modifications, repairs, and integrations of testing RIGs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and technical teams to find and implement solutions for lab equipment maintenance and upgrades.
  • Manage procurement and inventory for new hardware and equipment.
  • Ensure system reliability, safety, and performance by conducting thorough validation tests.
  • Work closely with software and hardware teams to refine test methodologies.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and validation of new RIGS.
  • Proficient in using ATI Vision, CANoe and CAN Analyzer for vehicle communication testing and debugging.
  • Work with vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN and Ethernet.
  • Support fault injection and real-time system debugging to enhance test coverage.
  • Define Way of Working for Emob. lab upgrades, maintenance and utilization.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in RIGS development and validation in the automotive industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience with dSPACE HIL rigs, hardware/software integration.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN,Ethernet) and proficiency in CANoe, CANalyzer, or similar tools.
  • Experience in automated testing frameworks, scripting languages (Python, CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink), and test automation methodologies.
  • Understanding of EV architecture.
