Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Develop and ensure effective implementation of electricaland instrument maintenanceprogramstoimprovetechnical and operational safety, integrity and reliability of the assets and to minimize downtime of the facilities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific Accountabilities
Maintenance Planning, Execution and Expertise
Develop, review, andoptimizemaintenance programs for Electrical & Instrument equipment and systems through RCM, FMECA and other structured tools to improve plant availability, equipment integrity and minimize cost.
Develop and implement maintenance execution performance assurance programs with regards to Electrical & Instrument equipment and systems accordinglyidentifyand implement improvement action plans.
Prepare scope of work, conduct technical evaluation,establishcontracts / service orders, prepare method statements, and manage execution of troubleshooting and major planned maintenance activities.
Review existing maintenance practices and support implementation of innovative & modern methodologies to improve productivity and equipment performance.
Support in resolving chronic Electrical and Instrument problems through different methodologies of RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
Provide professionalexpertisein the technological up-gradation of obsolete Electrical & Instrument systems including assessment, scope preparation and execution of upgradation / modification works in existing facilities.
Ensuretimelyidentification and availability of tools and critical spare partsrequiredtomaintainsafe plant and production availability at optimized cost.
Prepare major shutdown maintenance programs for Electrical & Instrument equipment and systems and integrate activities within plant major shutdown plans.
Provide technical support for development, implementation, and commissioning of new projects tooptimizecosts and ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices.
Drive the adoption of AI tools such as predictive maintenance programs for Electrical & Instrument equipment and systems to ensure power and control equipment / systems reliability
Supervision
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functionalobjectives.
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective sectionobjectives.
Budgets
Provide input for preparation of the Department / Section budgets andassistin the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Sectionobjectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems,standardsand proceduresin order tosupport execution of the Department / Sectionu2019s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Comply withall applicable legislation and legal regulations.
Performance Management
Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identifyimprovements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standardsin order todefine intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE)and Sustainability
Comply withrelevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, bestpracticesand ADNOC Code of Practices
Reports
Provide inputs to prepare Section Management Information and progress reports for Company Management
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
Reports directly to Manager, Operations, regular interface with Operations Manager and discipline specialist staff on all field related issues including Operations & Maintenance activities, Assets Integrity, Facilities Reliability, Implementation of technical standards and guidelines andmaintainingfield set KPIu2019s
Daily interaction with VP - Operations and team members on the ongoing operations and projects.
External
Interface and coordinate with ADNOC Group companies for interface operations and to share best practices for field management and best work practices.
Contacts with consultants and contractors on projects carried out for Al Dhafra, asrequired
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
Bacheloru2019s degree in electrical / instrument engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
8to 12years of experience in maintenance activities for electrical and instrument equipment, within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry
Excellent knowledge of site workflows and plant processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Very good knowledge of verbal and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable
Willingness to work and foster good working relationships in an integrated team from diverse locations.
Good IT Skills .
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Interface Operations & coordination,troubleshootingand problem solving
Be conversant with KPIs andsupport their delivery and attainment at all times
Working experience with Maximo/SAP/CMMS
