Senior Engineer Non ICT (Fire Alarm, ACC/INTD, MC,PIS)

The Sr. or Lead Communications Engineer for Fire Alarm, Access Control & Intrusion Detection, Master Clock, Public Information System will oversee the installation and implementation of light-current systems on a major transportation project. The candidate will supervise the installation process, coordinate with project stakeholders, and ensure full compliance with technical specifications and international codes. The successful candidate must have a solid background in construction engineering and hands-on experience implementing Fire Alarm, Access Control & Intrusion Detection, Master Clock, and Public Information System.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise contractor performance during the installation of low-current systems on the project, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and technical specifications.
2. Coordinate and supervise contractors and subcontractors, ensuring strict adherence to site safety protocols and industry best practices.
3. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor installation progress, identify potential risks, and implement preventative measures.
4. Review and interpret technical drawings, submittals, and contract documents, providing expert technical guidance to site team
5. Perform rigorous quality control checks to ensure all installations meet project specifications and industry standards.
6. Participate in and witness the Testing and Commissioning of the aforesaid systems.
7. Provide regular progress reports to project management, highlighting key milestones, critical path delays, and mitigation plans.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of the aforesaid systems on rail or mass transit projects.
3. Demonstrated track record managing site contractors and subcontractors in a multi-disciplinary environment.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to collaborate across teams.
5. Proficiency in drafting and document management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Aconex).
6. Very good written and verbal communication skills in English.
