Senior Engineer (Mechanical Static)
Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in static equipment engineering and EPC project execution We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Static Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in the successful delivery of complex Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, Infrastructure, and Industrial Projects.
YOUR ROLE
As Senior Engineer (Mechanical Static), you will lead the engineering, installation, construction, testing, and commissioning of critical static mechanical equipment while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence.
Engineering & Design Review
- Review and validate engineering drawings, datasheets, specifications, and technical documents related to static mechanical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, client specifications, international standards, and industry regulations.
- Participate in constructability reviews and value engineering initiatives.
- Review vendor technical submissions and provide engineering recommendations.
- Verify material suitability and compatibility with operating conditions.
Project Execution & Construction Management
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation activities for static mechanical equipment.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure alignment with project schedules and milestones.
- Resolve technical challenges impacting project execution.
- Coordinate lifting, rigging, erection, and installation activities.
- Supervise contractors, supervisors, foremen, and skilled workforce to achieve safe and efficient project delivery.
Static Equipment Management
Lead installation, construction, and commissioning activities for: Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Separators, Scrubbers, Filters, Reactor Vessels, Columns & Towers, Piping Supports, Skid Packages, Utility Systems, Fire Water Tanks, Fuel Storage Systems, Mechanical Structures associated with equipment installations
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with Project Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Witness inspections, testing, and acceptance activities.
- Support quality audits and close-out of NCRs.
- Verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across project teams.
- Ensure compliance with company and client HSE requirements.
- Participate in Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes.
- Conduct site safety inspections and support incident investigations.
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Vendor & Procurement Support
- Support procurement teams during technical bid evaluations.
- Review vendor documentation and manufacturing data reports.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and vendor inspections.
- Coordinate equipment delivery schedules and resolve technical procurement issues.
Testing & Commissioning
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Verify mechanical completion of systems.
- Participate in hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, leak testing, and performance testing.
- Ensure proper documentation, turnover, and handover to clients.
Cost Control & Project Planning
- Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Evaluate change orders and project variations.
- Monitor KPIs, productivity metrics, and project performance.
- Assist project management with progress reporting and schedule monitoring.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and engineering documentation.
- Review method statements and work procedures.
- Maintain project records and documentation.
- Prepare mechanical completion dossiers and handover packages.
- Participate in client and management review meetings.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
- Must have 8-10+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience
- Minimum 5 years experience within: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, Industrial Construction, EPC Projects.
- Proven experience in installation and construction of static mechanical equipment
- Experience managing large-scale industrial construction projects
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
