Supervise and provide technical expertise and engineering support to all plants/sites, Pipelines, Projects Divisions related to structural discipline, and to ensure the compliance with the standards, specifications and procedures in all projects, aiming to maintain the integrity, enhance the reliability and prolong the life of all Structural facilities and installations.

Structural Engineering Studies, Advice and Expertise
- Function as appointed level Technical Authority in the Company for the area of Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering by providing technical advice/ direction to internal end users (including Operations & Projects Divisions) to ensure that the projects are designed for long term/ high level of integrity and the existing assets are maintained in a safe and reliable operating condition.
- Develop, review and update Company u00A0u00A0Specifications (AGES)standard drawings, procedures and guidelines in the area of structural engineering in line with ADNOC guidelines, international codes/standards, Industry best practices, latest technology, lessons learnt, and ensure their uniform application in all projects and studies.
- Prepare in coordination with project owner/end user/other entities as appropriate the definition of Structural Engineering statement of requirements and scope of work for SELECT and DEFINE stages of new projects.
- Review / check the SELECT / DEFINE phase Documents and Design Packages prepared by the Consultants and Contractors, to ensure its compliance with the requirements of the scope of work, Companyu2019s specifications and international codes / standards.
- Review and approve the design calculations, drawings, specifications, material submittals and other technical documents related to the projects for all phases (SELECT, DEFINE, EXECUTE, pre-commissioning, commissioning and hand-over). Participate in Independent Projects Review (IPR), 3D model review, HSE workshops, cost optimization workshops, etc., of the projects
- Review and endorse Design Concession Authorisation (DCA) u00A0u00A0raised by EPC Contractors and
to participate in the technical analysis of claims and variations impacting the costs or/and schedule. - Provide expert technical support and participate in projects activities related to development of the execution strategies, bids evaluation for various phases, the review of pre-qualification of Engineer/ Contractors/Vendors, preparation of bidders list, review of CVu2019s of engineering staff of FEED/PMC/EPC Contractors, commissioning and hand-over of project facilities to End Users.
- Review and provide Civil engineering discipline feedback to support endorsement of Decision Support Package (DSP), Statement of Requirements (SOR), Scope of Services (SOS), etc. for Projects.
- Review and provide civil engineering feedback to support endorsement of Purchase Requisitions (PR) / Contract Requisitions (CR) which are raised by Plant Operations / Maintenance

- Carry out in-house the required Structural engineering design, for studies requested through RTS system including the structural analysis / modelling, structural steel design, preparation of design drawings, provision of technical / standard details, bill of quantities, etc., to provide fit for purpose solutions to Plant issues.
- Manage, supervise and evaluate the technical studies and special investigations carried out by the third party consultants, including integrity/structural verification, condition assessment, fit for purpose calculations, vibration issues, structures strengthening, facilities/systems upgrading, etc.
- Provide technical advice and expert support to the operation group, to ensure that the plant
s integrity and long term availability/ reliability are maintained, areas of concern are identified / undertaken by the appropriate party and optimum and cost effective solutions are adopted. - Assist the plants in the troubleshooting of maintenance problems related to structural installations as well as participating in root causes analysis (RCA) of any structure / installation failure, timely technical support in special situations like shutdown, emergency issues, and support to close out QUARTZ action item. Perform site visits as required.
- Review
the relevant u00A0Management of Change (MOC) requests to ensure the adequacy of planned modification and its compliance with the Company Specifications/ Standards/ Codes requirements. - Participate in the review and endorsement of the prequalification of suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, consultants and contractors in the area of Structural engineering to ensure that they are qualified and competent to supply goods/ provide services to the company.
- Explore and evaluate new technologies and materials in the field of Structural to enhance the performance, efficiency and asset integrity, and optimize the maintenance costs.
- Foster knowledge sharing by participation and/or delivering technical papers/presentations in various national & international conferences / events like ADIPEC, Group OPCO Forums, etc.
- Participate and assist Team Leader in the arrangement of knowledge sharing forums, special Technical Training courses related to Structural to foster learning and development of the team.
- Support Operations Excellence (OE) division in the development / update of Maintenance Standards, plant asset life extension studies, technical integrity verification (TIV) audits, etc.
- Identify and lead discipline related initiative(s) to enhance Performance / Efficiency / HSE and contribute to achieving Department / Division KPIs.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 8 years of experience Structural engineering design in a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Good working knowledge in the design of various types of onshore structural works related to oil & gas industry
- Good knowledge in providing engineering & technical support to Operations and projects groups related to Structural engineering works in oil and gas industry.
- In-depth knowledge in the development and reviews of Structural engineering related policies, standards and procedures relevant to the nature of work performed
- Good knowledge of Structural design works and managing the preparation of detailed design drawings, material specifications and procurement documents.
- Good knowledge of relevant international codes and standards, local codes and regulations, and Oil & Gas industry best practices..
- Good working knowledge of latest versions of Structural design and analysis software like StaadPro, Foundation3D, Mat3D, Prokon, ETABS, etc.
- Background in working for reputed engineering organizations in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Extensive knowledge of the technical requirements for SELECT/DEFINE/EXECUTE phases of projects
- Sound communication skills, with good logic and reasoning ability
- Planning and Organizing, Scheduling and Co-ordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording
