Job Purpose
The Senior Engineering Lead is the senior technical authority for rotating equipment engineering at the company, with a focus on pumps. The role leads application engineering and design activities to deliver technically accurate, commercially competitive, and standards-compliant solutions to customers. The Engineering Lead provides hands-on technical guidance and facilitates cross-functional coordination between engineers and designers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application & Design Engineering Leadership (Rotating Equipment)
- Lead and manage the engineering team across design and application functions
- Serve as the senior technical reference for pump selection, sizing, hydraulic and mechanical suitability, and system fit across O&G, water, and industrial end-use cases
- Oversee mechanical design, General Arrangement Drawings (GAD), cross-sections, and BOM development for pumps, gear drives, and associated equipment
- Lead the preparation of technical proposals, datasheets, and compliance statements against client specifications (Aramco, ADNOC, KNPC, SWCC/SWPC, IOC/NOC standards, API 610/674/675/682, ISO, HI, NFPA)
- Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations for the team
- Develop engineering capabilities and succession plans
- Drive design standardization and reuse to reduce cycle time and engineering cost
- Interface with Aramco, other IOC/NOC engineering functions, and EPC engineering teams on technical clarifications, pre-qualifications, and vendor approvals
- Contribute technical content to 9COM and equivalent vendor registration processes
- Act as company's technical focal point with technical partners
2. Commercial, Business & Execution Support
- Support business development and sales teams with technical inputs
- Participate in tendering, costing, and proposal preparation
- Contribute to product development and market expansion initiatives
- Set technical direction, prioritize the RFQ and design pipeline, and allocate work across the team
- Support project execution and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs aligned with project schedules
- Coordinate with production, quality, and supply chain teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant discipline)
- 10–12 years of experience in engineering within pump manufacturing environments
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership role
