Senior Engineering Manager

Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead a couple of engineering teams. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will spend approximately 50% of your time on direct technical contributions while dedicating 50% to team management and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a team of engineers responsible for .NET services in AWS hosted web applications and Windows desktop applications
• Ensuring a AI first approach to all development tasks and driving early adoption of new AI innovations in the software engineering space.
• Establish and maintain integration best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns across the engineering team using C#, ASP.NET Core, react and AWS.
• Leading integration strategy between leading ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE) and external systems via APIs, RFC/BAPI, OData, SOAP, OAuth2, and related technologies.
• Establishing secure, scalable integration patterns across ERP and custom platforms.
• Partnering with product, architecture, and business leadership to translate strategic objectives into technical roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Mentoring senior engineers and engineering managers while raising the technical bar across teams.

Qualifications:

• Should have 15+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, having worked on ERP Systems (Oracle, JDE)
• You have 5+ years of people management experience leading and coaching software engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps practices
• Experience/ Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and practices
• Should have significant hands-on experience in C#/.NET /Web/Desktop/Saas development and cloud platforms
• Proven ability to balance technical contributions with team leadership responsibilities
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in complex, multi-system enterprise environments with interdependent systems
• Should have demonstrated ownership of high-impact, cross-functional technical and organizational decisions.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and modern web technologies, with experience building scalable, high-performance services and APIs.
• Proven experience developing and deploying enterprise-grade software applications in cloud environments, particularly AWS.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Windows desktop applications.
• Strong understanding of enterprise authentication, authorization, security principles, and secure system integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience applying AI-first development practices, including the effective use of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development workflows, DevOps practices, and modern software engineering and delivery methodologies.
