Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct detailed risk assessments across processes, equipment, and facilities, identifying hazards and implementing effective control measures to minimize incidents.
- Ensure full compliance with local HSE regulations, industry standards, and company policies, providing technical guidance to teams for safe operations.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, performing thorough root cause analyses, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring implementation.
- Develop, update, and deliver targeted HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and project teams to enhance technical safety awareness and competency.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and site assessments, verifying adherence to safety procedures, environmental standards, and operational compliance.
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including drills, crisis simulations, and response plan execution, ensuring teams are trained and ready.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to integrate HSE considerations into process design, equipment selection, and operational procedures.
- Lead environmental monitoring and sustainability initiatives, including emissions tracking, waste management, and resource conservation at operational sites.
- Provide technical HSE advice and guidance to project teams, supervisors, and line management on safe practices, hazard mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Review and analyze HSE performance metrics and KPIs, preparing reports with actionable recommendations for improving safety and environmental outcomes.
- Support contractor and vendor HSE evaluation, ensuring that external parties comply with company safety and environmental standards.
- Assist in the preparation of HSE documentation, manuals, reports, and compliance submissions to regulatory authorities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying technical gaps in safety systems, environmental processes, and compliance mechanisms.
Qualification & Education:
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering Science.
- Previous working experience in manufacturing industry.
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Courses: NEBOSH, OSHA, Risk Assessment, Lifting & Rigging, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and Firefighting advanced
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application.
