Senior Environment Health Safety Engineer

Core Responsibilities & Duties

• Daily Site Supervision: Inspect project sites daily to make sure workers are following safety rules and wearing proper PPE.
• Safety Policies & Compliance: Implement the company's safety plans in line with Egyptian Labor Law (Law No. 12 of 2003) [Law No. 12 of 2003 Egyptian Labor Law 12 2003].
• Risk Assessment: Create simple, effective Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for daily site activities.
• Toolbox Talks & Training: Conduct regular safety orientations and morning toolbox talks for site engineers and laborers.
• Incident Reporting: Investigate any accidents or near-misses on site, write clear reports, and fix the safety issue immediately.
• Audit Support: Assist during internal safety audits or inspections by Egyptian government authorities (Civil Defense, Ministry of Manpower).
• Subcontractor Safety: Monitor subcontractors on site to ensure they strictly follow the project's HSE standards.

Role Requirements

• Experience:10+ years of total experience in HSE, with a focus on Egyptian construction or industrial sites.
• Certifications: Valid OSHA 30-Hour or NEBOSH IGC certificate.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Government Registration: Registered with the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH Egypt) [NIOSH Egypt National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Egypt] or have the basic Ministry of Manpower HSE Specialist/Basic course.
• Language: Clear communication in Arabic, with Very good conversational and written English for safety reports.
