We are delighted to be partnered with a New Space venture in the UAE that are on a mission to simplify space access. Through their partnership with their US based parent company, they will be the first UAE based company to mass-manufacture, and mass-produce satellites.
Our partner are looking for a (mechanical focussed) Senior Environmental Test Engineer to join their team.
The role:
- Assess test feasibility during early program phases.
- Develop and maintain both short-term and long-term environmental test plans.
- Create and update SOPs and process documentation for test equipment operations.
- Manage readiness, calibration, and maintenance of test facilities and equipment, including vibration tables, TVAC chambers, thermal systems, and EMC/EMI setups.
- Prepare hardware, instrumentation, facility configurations, and DAQ systems ahead of test campaigns.
- Lead the execution of Vibration, Thermal, TVAC, and EMC/EMI tests.
- Supervise test technicians, ensuring adherence to procedures and configuration control.
- Analyze test data and produce qualification and acceptance reports.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Assembly, Integration & Test teams, QA, and external vendors on environmental test matters.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in satellite environmental testing, including Vibration, TVAC, Thermal, and EMC/EMI.
- Ability to perform feasibility assessments and develop long-term test plans.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, DAQ systems, and test setups.
- Proven ability to produce SOPs, process documentation, and procedural guidance.
- Familiarity with relevant test standards (e.g., GEVS, MIL-STD-1540, ECSS).
- Excellent analytical skills for interpreting test data and generating reports.
- Experience managing equipment maintenance and calibration programs.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and disciplined approach to documentation.
This role will require relocation (paid for) to the UAE, and offers an excellent overall compensation and benefits package.
