Job Description
Head of Estimation & Tendering – Energy, Utilities & Oil & Gas EPC
Key Responsibilities
- Lead estimation and tendering activities for major EPC projects in Oil & Gas, Energy, LNG, Petrochemical, Power, Utilities, and Infrastructure sectors.
- Manage multidisciplinary bid teams and coordinate Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Planning, Commercial, Finance, and Project Controls functions.
- Develop cost estimates, tender strategies, commercial evaluations, and risk assessments.
- Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and contract requirements including FIDIC contracts.
- Prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals within submission deadlines.
- Engage with clients, JV partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants throughout the bidding process.
Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Estimation & Tendering for major EPC projects.
- Strong experience in Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, LNG, Petrochemical, Power, and Utility projects.
- Proven leadership in managing large-scale bids, cost estimation, commercial evaluation, and tender strategy.
Professional Competencies
- Expertise in quantity take-off, construction methodology, resource planning, productivity norms, and indirect cost estimation.
- Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycle, tendering processes, contract management, and commercial evaluation.
- Ability to identify technical, commercial, contractual, and execution risks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong stakeholder management, presentation, report-writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
