Dolphin Oilfield Equipment Services is an Abu Dhabi (Mussafah) industrial services company serving ADNOC group companies, EGA, Borouge and other oil & gas, power and industrial clients across the UAE. We manufacture, service and retube heat exchangers, execute EPC-stage site works — structural, piping, equipment installation — and deliver shutdown and turnaround maintenance campaigns onshore and offshore.

The Role

We are hiring a Senior Estimation Engineer / Project Estimator to own EPC project estimation: structural, piping, mechanical and equipment installation, civil interfaces and site services for ADNOC group and industrial clients. You will build estimates on the company's man-hour norms, historical contracts and tender library — and sharpen them with actuals from every executed job.

This is an estimator-first role. You will support tender-stage schedules and S-curves with our planning engineer, but your desk is costing and winning work — not operating planning software.

What You Will Do

•   Prepare detailed cost estimates for EPC tenders: material take-offs (MTO), BOQs, man-hour build-ups, plant & equipment, and subcontract vs in-house splits.

•   Review RFQs, engineering drawings, specifications and scopes of work; define material, manpower and equipment requirements.

•   Coordinate with procurement for material pricing, subcontractor quotations and lead times.

•   Develop cost breakdowns and commercial proposals aligned with pricing strategy and margin targets.

•   Ground estimates in site reality — productivity factors, access, permits, shift patterns — including pre-bid site surveys.

•   Maintain and extend the estimation norms library; mine historical tenders and contracts for cost benchmarks.

•   Reconcile estimated vs actual hours and costs on executed jobs; feed the results back into future bids.

•   Support bid clarifications, technical queries and client negotiations with defensible numbers.

What We Are Looking For

•   Diploma or B.Eng. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, with a strong estimating track record.

•   Minimum 6 years (senior profile, 6–10 years) estimating EPC, site-works or fabrication packages in Gulf oil & gas.

•   Genuine site execution exposure — you have run or supervised site work, not only priced it from an office.

•   Advanced Excel — non-negotiable: estimate models, norms databases, quantity take-off sheets.

•   Able to perform quantity take-offs from drawings (structural, piping, mechanical).

•   Strong written and spoken English for tender documentation and client discussions.

Preferred / a plus:

•   Experience with ADNOC projects or major EPC contractors (NPCC, Petrofac, Technip, etc.).

•   Shutdown/turnaround estimation or execution exposure — a strong plus.

•   Multi-discipline take-off capability (civil, E&I, HVAC); ERP or job-costing systems; familiarity with scheduling concepts (WBS, S-curves).

Working Pattern — Read Before Applying

Office-based in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, with regular site visits (pre-bid surveys, actuals reviews) and presence during key shutdown mobilisations. Expect evening peaks around major tender submissions — quiet weeks exist, submission weeks are full-throttle. Not a remote role.
