We are seeking a Senior Estimator (Pre-Contract) with 10+ years of UAE building construction experience to join a multidisciplinary consultancy. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our in-house architects, engineers, and project managers to lead cost planning, feasibility studies, tendering, and budget control from initial concept through contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Planning & Estimating: Develop feasibility studies, budget estimates, and detailed Cost Plans (Concept to Detailed Design) in close coordination with internal design and engineering teams.
- Measurement & BoQs: Perform digital quantity take-offs and produce Bills of Quantities (BoQs) following POMI and NRM standards across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
- Tender Management: Assemble comprehensive Tender Packages (ITT, BoQs), evaluate contractor submissions, conduct commercial negotiations, and deliver Tender Evaluation Reports (TER) to clients.
- Value Engineering & Advisory: Lead interdisciplinary Value Engineering (VE) workshops to optimize design solutions without exceeding client budgets, while tracking local UAE market rate trends.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of pre-contract estimating in the UAE, with a background in a Multidisciplinary PMC or leading Main Contractor.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. MRICS certification is strongly preferred.
- Software & Standards: Proficient in CostX, Candy (RIB CCS), or CUBIT, alongside deep familiarity with POMI, NRM, and FIDIC frameworks.
- Skills: Strong understanding of UAE supply chain dynamics and a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with internal design, engineering, and PM teams.
