Job Purpose

The Senior Estimator -MEP is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in Fitout projects. This role involves analyzing project requirements, reviewing drawings and specifications, obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring that all estimates are comprehensive, accurate, and aligned with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to determine MEP requirements.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and labor.
• Evaluate quotations and negotiate pricing to achieve cost-effective and competitive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and project teams to review estimates and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, quotations, and pricing documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of bid submissions, tender documents, and commercial proposals.
• Provide estimation and cost support during the procurement and project execution phases.
• Identify potential cost risks and opportunities for value engineering.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and project requirements.

• Suppliers, Subcontractors, Consultants, Clients (as required)

Experience and Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering is mandatory

Experience

• Previous experience in estimating MEP works within Fitout / construction projects is preferred.
• Experience in tendering, cost estimation, and procurement support is an advantage.
