Senior Estimator

Job Purpose:

Study and Review tender drawings, projects specifications and BOQs to prepare/help to prepare the Commercial and Technical Proposals for the project during the tendering phase.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Study and judge assigned portion/system/division of the Tender if complete and feasible to start the bid study with and reports (Review project specifications and Bill of Quantity against system drawings to ensure accuracy of all estimates produced).

Prepare and dispatch/follow inquiries (RFQs) to suppliers/sub-contractors to solve Tender Documents ambiguities if needed.

Communicate with suppliers/sub-contractors, receive offers and compare the offers technically and commercially.

Prepare Technical Proposal for assigned portion and reports.

Participate in implementing the policies and procedures applicable to the section.

Prepare itemized lists, detailing all the materials necessary for the bid to fully comply with the specification.

Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labor and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, schematic drawings and specifications using current quotations, historical information for his / her assigned portion of the study for final approval.

Review project specifications and Bill of Quantity against system drawings to ensure accuracy of all estimates produced.

Review the quantity surveying and quantity take off from drawings and specifications.

Prepare/review the technical and commercial comparison sheets for the suppliers offer.

Prepare estimates by assembling product requirements; calculating costs; applying margins to ensure that estimates addresses all potential safety risks and concerns.

Report by the commercial and technical study of assigned portion of the bid.

Perform other assignments as necessary to support the function/department

Ensure working according to the company HSE policies and regulations, risk assessment and environmental aspects.

Minimum Qualification & Requirements:

Education/ Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Engineering

Work Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a related position

Language: Very Good command of English language

Computer Skills: Microsoft office
