Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Cost & Inventory Accounting

  • Manage product costing, standard costing, and inventory costing processes.
  • Perform inventory valuation and ensure accurate cost allocation.
  • Monitor production costs, material consumption, labor, and overhead expenses.
  • Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review inventory movements and prepare necessary accounting adjustments.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly cost reports, profitability analysis, and management reports.
  • Conduct pricing analysis to support product pricing strategies.
  • Monitor product margins and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain costing models for local and international operations.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational and commercial decisions.

Budgeting & Planning

  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Assist in cost planning and variance analysis against budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required financial information.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and quality management systems, including IMS, BRC, ISO, GMP, and food safety standards.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve costing methodologies and financial processes.
  • Support ERP enhancements and automation initiatives.
  • Work closely with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to improve cost visibility and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or CIMA are an advantage.

Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Product Costing, or Cost Control.
  • Experience within Manufacturing, FMCG, Food Production, or Industrial sectors is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is preferred; experience with other ERP systems is also acceptable.
