Key Responsibilities
Cost & Inventory Accounting
- Manage product costing, standard costing, and inventory costing processes.
- Perform inventory valuation and ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Monitor production costs, material consumption, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Review inventory movements and prepare necessary accounting adjustments.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare monthly cost reports, profitability analysis, and management reports.
- Conduct pricing analysis to support product pricing strategies.
- Monitor product margins and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain costing models for local and international operations.
- Provide financial insights to support operational and commercial decisions.
Budgeting & Planning
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Assist in cost planning and variance analysis against budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required financial information.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and quality management systems, including IMS, BRC, ISO, GMP, and food safety standards.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve costing methodologies and financial processes.
- Support ERP enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Work closely with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to improve cost visibility and inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or CIMA are an advantage.
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Product Costing, or Cost Control.
- Experience within Manufacturing, FMCG, Food Production, or Industrial sectors is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP is preferred; experience with other ERP systems is also acceptable.
