Job Description
Role Purpose:
Data Center management roles ensure the reliability, efficiency, and security of critical infrastructure supporting enterprise IT services and business continuity.
The role is responsible for the governance, operational excellence, and performance reporting of data center environments.
The role ensures high availability, operational resilience, compliance, and optimized utilization of data center infrastructure while providing monitoring and utilization reporting.
This position oversees data center operations, facilities coordination, service reliability, capacity planning, and KPI-driven performance management across on-premises and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Key Accountabilities:
1-Data Center Operations Management:
- Lead end-to-end operations of enterprise data center (24x7 environments), Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of Compute, storage, and network infrastructure, Power, cooling, and environmental systems physical security and access controls
- Establish operational standards, SOPs, and governance frameworks
2-Executive Reporting & Governance:
- Develop executive dashboards covering:
- Availability & uptime metrics
- Capacity utilization
- Incident trends & RCA
- Risk and compliance posture
- Energy efficiency (PUE)
- Provide monthly and quarterly reports to management
3-Strategy & Capacity Planning:
- Define long-term data center strategy aligned with enterprise digital transformation.
- Lead capacity forecasting and growth planning.
- Support hybrid cloud and cloud migration initiatives.
- Optimize utilization and cost efficiency (OpEx / CapEx balance).
4-Standard operating procedures:
- Ensuring contingency plans, standards and guidelines are followed
- Monitor Risk, Compliance & Resilience, ensure compliance with ISO 27001, ITIL practices, regulatory requirements, Internal audit standards, lead disaster recovery and business continuity readiness, conduct operational risk assessments and audits, maintain operational resilience frameworks.
5-Vendor & Financial Management:
- Manage vendors, colocation providers, and OEM partners, control operational budgets and infrastructure investments, optimize energy consumption and operational efficiency.
- Oversee contract governance and SLA performance
6-Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with data center advancements and recommend new tools and practices to improve data center efficiency.

Education
