Seddiqi Holding is a Family-owned and managed company with a unique, diversified portfolio of businesses and brands across numerous sectors. The business includes Ahmed Seddiqi, Seddiqi Properties, Swiss Watch Services and Mizzen.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Executive - Taxation who will be responsible to define and implement tax strategy, ensure compliance with evolving GCC tax regimes, proactively manage tax risks, and optimize the group's tax position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all tax activities across GCC markets: VAT, CIT, Zakat, and Transfer Pricing by understanding the tax regulations and track and update the changes to. the tax team.
- Design and implement tax strategy, policies, and governance framework.
- Drive automation and digitalization of tax compliance and reporting.
- Oversee timely and accurate tax filings and audits.
- Direct Transfer Pricing strategy, documentation, and compliance.
- Monitor and track legislative developments; assess business impacts and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements in tax compliance and reporting.
- Prepare and submit accurate tax returns and statutory filings within prescribed deadlines
- Oversee periodic VAT, CT reconciliations and ensure proper documentation for audits.
- Design and maintain transfer pricing documentation in line with OECD guidelines and local regulations.
- Conduct benchmarking studies and ensure arm's length pricing for intercompany transactions.
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams to structure compliant cross-border arrangements to ensure the transactions are in line with both the countries regulations, there is no violation of taxes and they are in line with Transfer pricing.
- Identify tax optimization opportunities while maintaining compliance.
- Advise senior management on tax implications of business decisions, mergers, or expansions.
- Support restructuring initiatives with tax-efficient strategies
- Monitor changes in tax legislation across GCC countries and assess their impact on business operations
- Act as the primary point of contact for tax audits and inquiries from authorities.
- Mitigate tax risks through proactive controls and internal reviews.
- Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections and ensure audit trail integrity.
- Liaise with external advisors, auditors, and government bodies on tax matters.
- Support cross-functional projects with tax input, especially in finance, legal, and operations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of tax filings, correspondence, and rulings.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have:
- 5-8 years job related experience.
- Master's Degree / Post Graduate diploma in Finance / Accounting or partial professional qualification (e.g. CIMA, CPA, ACCA and ACA)
- Diploma in International taxation or related courses of Transfer pricing is preferrable
- Prior experience in corporate tax and transfer pricing.
