Job Description

Due to the continuing success and growth of our AESG team, a fantastic opportunity has opened up at our award-winning Specialist Consultancy, Engineering and Advisory Firm.

We are headquartered in London, Riyadh, Singapore and Dubai, Cape Town, Cairo & Sydney working throughout the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Our areas of expertise are represented in four core verticals: Building Engineering, Planning and Infrastructure, Strategy and Advisory and Commissioning, Handover and Asset Management.

We have one of the largest dedicated team with decades of cumulative experience in sustainable design, fire and life safety, cost management, façade engineering, commissioning, building performance, waste management, environmental consultancy, carbon management and acoustics.

Job Purpose

  • Executing projects responsibly and independently.
  • Deliver consultancy services to clients.
  • Represent AESG in a client-facing role.

Qualification / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree level in Architecture, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years experience with as a Senior Façade Designer with some experience leading a small team.
  • Software skills: AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Revit
  • Ability to use Rhino and Grasshopper is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery and execution of projects to high level of quality within projects deadlines
  • Developing system drawings and specifications with supervision
  • Proven competence and technical expertise with façade design
  • Preparation of RIBA stage reports during project design
  • Developing BMU strategies during the project design
  • Guiding junior team members within the project team
  • Assisting in preparing proposals and quotations for new opportunities
  • Seek opportunities for repeat work and extension of work scope on projects.

Demonstrated expertise in discipline, industry leadership through participation in industry professional groups and conferences and the development of research publications.

  • Project Management / Operational Delivery

Proven expertise in discipline with a track record of numerous projects ($150k) successfully delivered independently with high level of Client feedback. Independently manage complex projects and resolve complex project issues. They lead efforts to streamline cross-functional processes and drive efficiency across the organisation.

  • Leadership / Team Management Experience

Ability to independently project manage delivery and guide junior team members within the project team or mentoring junior team members / graduates. Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members.

  • Commercial Acumen / Business Development

Proficiency in creating and managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost control. Managing relationships with project vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective procurement. Client oriented and contributes to commercial success of the division.

  • Problem Solving / Decision Making

Generate viable options for addressing problems. Consider the long-term implications of each option.

  • Employee Focus / Process Compliance

Skilled in managing employee relations and fostering a positive work environment. Assesses business and operational risks. Ensure proper implementation of regulations.
