Job Description

Position - Senior Fan ID Database Manager

Duration - 1st July 2026 - 15th Feb 2027

Location - Riyadh

Job Purpose

The Senior Fan ID Database Manager is responsible for the management, integrity, security, performance, and operational readiness of all Fan ID databases supporting a large-scale international event. The role will oversee the storage, maintenance, validation, and protection of Fan ID data while ensuring seamless integration with ticketing, accreditation, access control, government platforms, and other event-related systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of Fan ID database environments.
  • Ensure database availability, performance, scalability, and security throughout all event phases.
  • Manage data migration, synchronization, validation, cleansing, and quality assurance processes.
  • Oversee integration and data exchange between Fan ID, ticketing, accreditation, access control, and other event systems.
  • Develop and implement database governance, backup, recovery, retention, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, privacy, and information security requirements.
  • Coordinate with technology providers, government stakeholders, system integrators, and relevant project teams.
  • Support testing activities including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and operational readiness exercises.
  • Develop reporting frameworks, dashboards, and data monitoring tools.
  • Manage database incidents, troubleshooting activities, and technical escalations.
  • Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, risk assessments, and post-event reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Database Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in database administration, database management, enterprise systems, or large-scale technology environments.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent enterprise database platforms.
  • Experience managing large volumes of sensitive personal data and mission-critical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, replication, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience working with system integrations, APIs, and data exchange platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting major international events, sporting events, exhibitions, festivals, government programs, or other large-scale public initiatives.
  • Experience supporting Fan ID, digital identity, accreditation, ticketing, access management, or large-scale customer registration systems.
  • Experience working with government digital identity platforms and high-volume customer databases.
  • Relevant certifications such as Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS, Azure, or equivalent are highly desirable.
