About SaveIN
SaveIN is a Y-Combinator-backed fintech company on a mission to make financial products accessible and affordable for every Indian. We offer Pay Later and no-cost EMI solutions through a growing network of Banks, NBFCs, and lending partners — enabling consumers to fund healthcare, e-commerce, lifestyle, home improvement, and everyday needs without financial stress.
About the role
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant who has spent their post-qualification years inside a fintech, NBFC, or digital lending business — someone who understands how a lending P&L works, and who has also sat across the table from lenders rather than only reporting on them.
This is a hybrid role, roughly 65% finance and 35% lender/NBFC management. On the finance side you will own month-end close, MIS, lender settlements and reconciliations, budgeting, and statutory compliance. On the partnerships side you will manage BAU with our existing Banks and NBFCs and support the leadership team in structuring and onboarding new lending partners — where a finance-first lens on pricing, FLDG, and unit economics is exactly what is needed.
It is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to the founders and the CFO, and the right person will grow into owning the finance and lender management function end to end.
Key responsibilities
Part A — Finance
1. Financial reporting, close & controllership
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close — schedules, provisions, accruals, and books hygiene across entities
• Prepare financial statements under Ind AS / applicable GAAP and maintain the underlying working papers
• Strengthen internal controls and process documentation across revenue, collections, and payouts
• Review and improve accounting treatment for lending revenue streams — subvention, processing fees, interest income, and commissions
2. Lender settlements, reconciliation & invoicing
• Own end-to-end reconciliation across lenders, payment gateways, merchants, and the internal LMS — disbursals, collections, refunds, and cancellations
• Raise and track lender and merchant invoices; ensure timely settlement and clean ageing
3. MIS, budgeting & unit economics
• Prepare monthly MIS and management dashboards — portfolio, revenue, cost of funds, and opex
• Own the annual budget and rolling forecast; track actuals against plan and explain variances
• Build and maintain unit economics and product-level P&L models across different categories
4. Statutory compliance, audit & taxation
• Manage GST, TDS, advance tax, and other statutory filings along with the consultants
• Run statutory, internal, and lender audits as the primary point of contact
• Track applicable RBI and regulatory reporting obligations relevant to an LSP / digital lending setup
• Keep the compliance calendar current and ensure nothing slips
Part B — Lender & NBFC management
5. Existing lender relationship & BAU management
• Be the internal SPOC for lender-facing commercial and financial matters — limits, payouts, FLDG utilisation, and SLA tracking
• Build working-level relationships with lender finance, credit, and alliance teams
• Prepare and present periodic lender review decks; drive follow-ups to closure
6. New lender partnerships & onboarding
• Support leadership in identifying, approaching, and evaluating new Banks and NBFCs
• Work on commercial structuring — pricing, IRR, subvention, FLDG, and co-lending / DA constructs — and pressure-test the economics before we commit
• Own the data room and financial diligence responses during lender onboarding
• Track onboarding and integration milestones across lender, tech, legal, and finance teams to go-live
What we're looking for
Must-have
• Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 3–4 years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Experience in a fintech, NBFC, bank, or digital lending business — you have worked with lending numbers, not just generic corporate finance
• Solid grip on financial reporting, reconciliation, MIS, and statutory compliance
• Comfortable dealing directly with Banks and NBFCs — you have been on calls with their teams, not just CCed on emails
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; able to build a settlement recon and a product P&L with equal ease
• High ownership mindset — you close things rather than waiting for someone to remind you
Good to have
• Big 4 or reputed firm articleship combined with industry experience in a lending business
• Understanding of co-lending, FLDG, direct assignment, STPL, or embedded finance structures
• Familiarity with RBI Digital Lending Directions and the LSP operating model
• Exposure to ECL / provisioning, cost of funds workings, and portfolio-level analytics
• Existing working relationships with Banks or NBFCs
Who will thrive here
This role suits a CA who does not want to be boxed into closing books alone. You should be equally comfortable finalising a month-end schedule, arguing a pricing construct with an NBFC, and walking a lender through your own reconciliation without needing anyone to translate. We value people who are process-driven but not process-bound — able to follow a framework and improvise when things go sideways — and who build trust with external partners through reliability and accuracy.
Why SaveIN
• Y-Combinator backed company with strong investor support and a clear growth path
• Direct exposure to the founders, CFO, and leadership from day one
• Genuine breadth — finance ownership plus a real seat in lender partnership conversations
• Work at the intersection of fintech, lending, and regulation in a fast-moving environment
• Opportunity to grow into leading the finance and lender management function
