Senior Financial Officer - Role Description

Europeans , British, American nationalities only

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Finance Officer based in Dubai. The Senior Financial Officer will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes. They will manage day-to-day financial operations, including monitoring cash flow, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Additionally, the role involves analyzing financial data, developing strategies to improve financial performance, and collaborating with other departments to make informed financial decisions. The Finance Manager will also establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders and external auditors.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger management.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.

• Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely collections and payments.

• Handle inventory accounting, cost analysis, and reconciliations related to trading operations.

• Prepare VAT/tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Support annual audits by coordinating with external auditors and providing required documentation.

• Ensure internal controls are implemented and adhered to financial transactions.

• Provide financial insights and reports to management to support decision-making.

• Prepare and review financial statements and relevant reports for the Fund Manager in compliance with the accounting standards and regulatory requirements of DFSA.

• Ensure all financial and Regulatory reporting to DFSA, DIFC, FTA or any other regulatory bodies is completed on a timely basis including VAT and Corporation Tax.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Professional certification: ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent (mandatory).

• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial services

• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and local accounting regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).

• DFSA experience.

• Excellent MS Excel and financial analysis skills.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
