Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This position supports budgeting, financial analysis, treasury, and audit processes while ensuring efficient handling of payables, receivables, taxes, and financial documentation. The role is essential in supporting sound financial decision-making and maintaining the organization's financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the budgeting process by preparing, tracking, and analyzing actual expenditures versus planned budgets, and recommending corrective actions when needed.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements, transaction reports, and final accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Handle banking activities, treasury functions, cash flow monitoring, and financial transactions in coordination with the Finance Manager.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Process operational tax requirements, including payroll and vendor taxes, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation and liaising with auditors and governmental authorities.
- Assist with administrative and operational tasks, maintain proper financial filing systems, and support continuous improvement of financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 57 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, and financial reporting.
- Strong experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
- Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and audit support is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of tax regulations and financial compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting systems is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
