Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, analyzing performance, and strategic financial guidance, for the company, focusing on goals, risk management, cost control, and ensuring financial health through reporting, modeling, and recommending strategies to management or clients.

Duties and Essential Job Functions

Management:

  • Assist in management of the departmental financial and budgetary activities
  • Assist in the development of the quantified M.B.O. plans for the direct subordinates and ensure that the process propagates through all levels
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the immediate superior

Technical:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Build financial models, analyze data, and interpret financial statements to assess performance and value.
  • Analyze financial performance (actuals vs. budget) and provide insights to management.
  • Oversee cost control, optimize expenses, and manage profitability.
  • Prepare financial reports, business cases, and performance dashboards.
  • Support strategic decisions (e.g., M&A, investments) with financial modeling.
  • Consult on financial strategy, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and support business cases.
  • Develop budgets, forecast revenue/expenditures, and project future financial outcomes.
  • Research market trends, evaluate investment opportunities, and recommend portfolio actions.
  • Analyze the designated reports, other performance indicators and provide the necessary feedback and recommendations
  • Identify areas of raising efficiency and effectiveness and to improve performance, policies, and programs
  • Monitor financial details to ensure that business and legal requirements are met
  • Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verify documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies

Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed reports and present findings and recommendations for management.
  • Provides research and documentation for all required matters

Minimum Job Requirements

Education - Master's in finance or accounting

Professional Qualifications & Experience

  • CA/CFA/CMA with 3 years of experience or
  • Alternatively Inter/Level 2 candidate with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail /Multi entity environment

Competencies Required:

  • Proficiency in MS Office packages such as Word and Excel, PowerPoint Presentation; data research and interpretation.
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, budget planning and cost control
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and the IFRS
  • Proven Experience in business performance and management reporting
  • Experience in Feasibility studies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience working with ERP/BI systems
  • Leadership and personal effectiveness
  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages.
  • Required Licenses/Certifications - Technical Training Certificates / licenses
