The Senior FP&A Analyst supports financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across the supermarket chain. The role focuses on data-driven insights at store and category level, helping management make fast, informed commercial and operational decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Budgeting & Forecasting Support
- • Assist in preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- • Build and maintain financial models for sales, margins, and expenses
- •Track actual performance vs budget and highlight variances
- Sales & Margin Analysis
- • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales trends
- • Monitor:
- Like-for-like (LFL) sales
- Basket size & transactions
- Gross margin by category (fresh, grocery, non-food, etc.)
- Identify drivers behind performance fluctuations
- Store-Level Performance Tracking
- • Support analysis of store profitability
- • Track KPIs such as:
- Sales per square meter
- Labor cost ratios
- Store contribution margin
- Highlight underperforming stores and key issues
- Promotions & Pricing Analysis
- • Evaluate effectiveness of:
- Promotions and discounts
- Pricing strategies
- Support commercial teams with margin impact analysis
- Track ROI on campaigns
- Inventory & Working Capital Analysis
- • Monitor:
- Inventory turnover
- Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO)
- Shrinkage / waste
- Support stock optimization and reduction of slow-moving items
- Reporting & Dashboards
- • Prepare weekly/monthly reports and dashboards
- • Automate reporting where possible
- • Provide clear variance analysis with actionable insights
- Business Partnering
- • Work closely with:

- • Provide financial insights to support decision-making
- Ad-hoc Analysis
- • Support financial evaluation of:

REQUIREMENTS- Qualifications & Experience
- • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A / financial analysis
- • Experience in Retail or FMCG is strongly preferred
- • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, power query, modeling)
- • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- • BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a strong advantage
